How long have you been a member of PCMA?

I’ve been a member for about 10 years. I became a Gulf States board member very soon after joining and was President in 2016. 

What do you love most about PCMA?  Or how has your PCMA membership benefited you?

I love the strategic angle PCMA members take across meetings, conventions and events. Membership has afforded me the opportunity to advance my career as an event planner and as a supplier to the space, especially as a speaker at Convening Leaders and as a leader within the Gulf States Chapter. The connections and education are phenomenal.

When you aren’t working, how do you enjoy spending your time?

I love reading and go to my local library regularly to check out real books. Exploring new cities and new restaurants are adventures I’m happy to be back doing. Plus, as a former improv performer, I love catching fun comedy shows.

What was the first concert you ever attended? Huey Lewis and the News!!

What is a fun fact about you that not many people know?  I perform improv comedy and graduated from the Dallas Comedy House, in addition to SMU. 

What characteristic do you admire most in others? I’m always in awe of people who have great discipline. It’s something I’m always working on.
