Shawna Suckow, CMP

Shawna was a planner for more than 20 years. In 2008, she founded SPIN: Senior Planners Industry Network, which now has more than 2,500 members across North America. She transitioned to full-time professional speaker in 2012, speaking to audiences of salespeople, marketers and retailers who are frustrated with the shifting marketplace and the influences of technology. She still loves the meetings industry, and speaks to meeting professionals whenever she can. Three memorable things about Shawna: she played in the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2015. She is so good at parallel parking, she should get a trophy. Due to a freak badminton injury, she now wears one contact lens. When she’s not on the road: she’s back in Minnesota fighting off snow or gigantic mosquitoes (a.k.a. the two seasons). She lives with her husband (a weekend Elvis Impersonator), two teenagers, and her goofy golden retriever named Henry Jones, Jr.
