Design thinking can and should elevate every aspect of events and conventions.  With it, planners can deepen connection and drive engagement. By tuning into the needs of human beings, design thinkers are able to craft compelling experiences across multiple days or for one-time events. In this interactive lunch & learn session, you will:

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Dana Freker Doody is Vice President, Communications and Public Relations for The Expo Group, committed to Helping People Perform at a Higher Level. She oversees internal and external communications programs, creating content, innovating experiences and building community. She is the co-host of The Exposure Podcast. Dana is a founder of #ExpoChat and the board of the Association for Women in Events. She serves the industry by presenting new ideas at meetings and conferences and by volunteering for the Professional Convention Management Association. Dana has worked at The Expo Group for 18 years and has previous experience at Disneyland and The Dallas Morning News. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Journalism from Southern Methodist University.

 

Pia Saxena is a Design Lead for The Expo Group.  She brings close to 20 years of creative experience in art direction, exhibits, experiential design, branding and leadership.  She is passionate about putting years of strategic, client-focused and consumer-centric experience to work to bring your brand to life.  She earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication – Journalism and English Literature.
