Fall Letter from 2021 President, Amy Brown

Hello again, Gulf States Members!

I want to send positive thoughts and strength to our Gulf State members in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Hurricane Ida recovery is very much underway and making progress. I encourage our members to consider donating to help support these efforts along the Gulf Coast and the Northeast. I’ve included some resources below.

“And all at once, summer collapsed into fall.” -Oscar Wilde

Wow, summer flew by and I hope you all had some vacation time before jumping into the busy-ness of Fall. I’m sure we are all counting down to cooler temps, football season/tailgates and the leaves changing. I am already tempted to start looking for pumpkin patches!

Your chapter leaders and committee members are working on finalizing our programs and social activities for the last quarter of 2021 so be on the lookout for details in the upcoming newsletters. This month we are hosting a CMP virtual study group. In late October, we will bring you one of PCMA’s Best in Class speakers in a hybrid format. Plans are also underway for our chapter reception at Convening Leaders in Las Vegas on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

Last but not least, the board nomination process is underway and it’s not too late to submit your name and get involved! Please reach out to me if you want more details or have questions about our chapter.
