Jason Sick

Jason Sick is a Certified Meeting Professional who joined the Red Velvet team in 2016. He has an uncanny ability to build lasting relationships with his clients and event partners, which shows in his year-over-year programs. He’s also spent quite a bit of time traveling for his clients’ multi-day conferences and incentive trips. His personal history with event planning goes far beyond his professional experience; as he spent most of his childhood helping his mother with her event décor business. He has a deep connection with this industry and truly understands the ins and outs of events, and that shows in his multiple awards including an Esprit Award and multiple Texas Star and ADEMI awards. In 2017, Jason was named one of Connect Corporate’s 40 Under 40.

 

 

 

Anna Gryglewska

Anna Gryglewska is a leader in the global events industry for over 12 years managing high profile award shows & festivals, global experiential activations and corporate incentive programs for 20+ Fortune 500 clients. Anna has extensive experience and expertise in the logistics & operations process of corporate events keeping the clients’ business objectives and goals at top priority. She has truly enjoyed meeting thousands of remarkable people during her worldly travels as she has worked on over 600 events in over 20 countries.

 

 

 

Tonya Almond, CMP

Tonya Almond, CMP. The Vice President, Knowledge and Experience Design for PCMA. Tonya has spent her career in association management helping organizations meet and exceed their financial goals through her strategic vision, product and event design, and business development. Prior to joining PCMA, Tonya served as Vice President, Meetings and Continuing Education for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) for nearly 9 years. She also worked at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), DRI and a variety of associations during her time at SmithBucklin. Tonya served as a member of the PCMA Board of Directors beginning in 2016. She previously served as a Board Member for the Greater Midwest Chapter of PCMA. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband, Dave, their two boys and their boxer, Izzy.

 

 

Chef Peter Maffei

Chef Peter Maffei brings over 20 years of culinary experience to the Austin Hotel scene. He was born and raised in New York City and early on was fascinated by the cities world-class chefs and restaurants. Chef Maffei is a graduate of the Prestigious Culinary Institute of America and honed his craft in some of the best Michelin starred restaurants in New York. Upon arriving in Austin, Chef Peter has worked at the Hilton Hotel of the Year, Hilton Austin. There he spearheaded their banquet department, which hosted groups of up to 2,500 guests. Most recently, he was the Executive Chef who oversaw the restaurants on property from the award winning Finn & Porter to their full restaurant renovations from concept to implementation. In 2017, Peter brought his talents to Harrell Hospitality group opening the Courtyard Austin Pflugerville. There the hotel achieved the Platinum Circle award in their first full year of operation. He has been instrumental in several of the company’s other properties in California and the Dallas area as well as his home here in Pflugerville. Peter won the AHLA Carl McKee award for hospitality manager of the year for the city of Austin. He is also the membership chair for the Austin Chapter of the TCA. Chef Peter brings an unbridled passion for cooking and food. He has the talent to present the simplicity of the food capturing the diner by developing vibrant flavors and focusing on great local ingredients. Ingredients are the key to his creativity. He has been heavily influenced by his countless trips to New York’s famous Union Square farmers market and the great Texas produce he has had the pleasure of using since moving to Austin. Chef Peter cooks with a tremendous amount of passion and spreads it though the dining room with the beautifully crafted dishes.
