What’s the best part of your current job?
Working with different associations, national and state on a daily basis and learning how each association is autonomous in their makeup, functionality, membership base and conventions.
What was your motivation for joining PCMA Gulf States?
I’m also a member of Heartland (Chapter) as well as being on the board. By also being a member of Gulf States, it expands my involvement with PCMA as a whole, and affords me the opportunity to be a part of another chapter and network with the chapter members.
Best kept secret in your city or area (hotel, venue, attraction, etc.)
Tulsa is AMAZING! Our property has 53 restaurants and bars within a three-block walk of our hotel, all locally owned, no chains. Our property sits at the gateway of the Art Deco District which is the third largest collection of art deco architecture in the United States.
Favorite app, website or tech tool?
Monscierge Connect, a mobile app that can be tailor made for one property. It features all of the hotel benefits, features, walking maps and a comprehensive restaurant guide where you can get walking or driving directions from the property sent to the end user via text or email. It also features the meetings that are in house. For instance, if ABC Association is having their convention at the property, it lists the meeting schedule, meeting rooms, has a map of the meeting space among other features.
